Kitty Update

I guess this cute kitty has been the main focus on our life this week. Yesterday I got her food and other necessities including some toys which she has not a bit of interest in! After a morning when she spilled my coffee on me I changed things. Today I gave her breakfast and closed her out of my area. She still has room to roam and Richard is back there with her. One area of concern..she is ignoring her littet box and going other places. Hoping that can be rectified. I'll vall our vet and get her in Monday. She will need shots and spaying soon. Very warm yesterday with near 80 today....later

Joys and Trials of Pets

A kitten showed up on our doorstep, hence the start of joys and trials. She(not sure about that) was very hungry and all I had was tuna. She scarfed that up. I got together a litter box as we had litter we used for another purpose and fashioned a bed for her. Last evening she spent exploring. She slept with us and was very good. This morning another matter. I fed her more tuna and since that she's been bothering me. She made me spill coffee on myself and is now on my lap.Later I'll go to sore, pick up approptiate food, more litter and some toys. I'm still thinking she must belong to SOMEONE!.TIME WILL TELL. Her.name.is Whiskers thanks to Eva....later

A Bit of Positive News

Trump finally appointed a person to run the national security team that is respected by both parties and a man who will be his own man and not afraid to go against Trump if it is not the right call. Other news..concerned about Jimmy who was thought to have the flu but has turned out to be the meds he is on. Hoprfully, going off them for 3 days is supposed to correct the situation. I'll be headed to TheFresh Market in Knoxville in a bit. When we were there Friday someof my items didn't make it home with  me..not my fault..bagger didn't put them in the bag. I also want to stop at Publix which is on the way. Kind of a rainy week expected but warm. Trees are starting to bloom around here. We're sure to get another hard freeze which is always a worry whentemps are too early warm.  Crazy winter!!..later

Relaxing Weekend

Another warm weekend with an even warmer week ahead. We watched the new HBO series with Kidman and Witherspoon and probably won't be watching it. We did watch another episode of Homeland but we're still behind on that. We did watch a goid bit of golf and wow!! The NY Times review section really slammed Trump every which way. I always read Maureen Dowd and her article was a gem.  Talk about fake news..our "esteemed" prez came out with some of his own..Sweden's terrorist attack..his source was Fox News!! Trump says he doesn't make things up, he speaks in hyperbole!! Time for me to get off my political rant!  Happy President's day....later

More Warm Weather

We're headed to Knoxville later to do lunch and stop at Publix to pick up some things we love from that store. Here's something coming on tv Saturday..Planet Earth.on BBC. If you are so fed  up with Truump, this is an option and we can't wait to see it. If  you are an animal lover  it's  a must see. I have to admit that I turn on Morning Joe at 6 every  morning to see what craziness Truump   and  his  flunkies have been up to now!...later

Almost Forgot

Suvh a relaxing morning for me with nothing on my agenda today and almost forgot to post. I was about to head to the shower when I realized I hadn't read Muir's post or done mine. So..here I am with nothing much to say. Today and yesterday a bit chilly but getting warmer and all of next week predicted to be in the 70s! It really does seem like we're headed into spring without never having winter! That being said, March has typically presented us with some significant snowfall and noow remembering that blizzard in the 90s. We actually enjoyed it at the time but don't think we would feel the sam  now. Hoping Maggie, Charlie and Eva are having a great vacation and hoping for some pictures soon!!....later

Nice Valentine's Day

Dinner was yummy and I made 6 servings of Creme Brule so we have 2 more days to enjoy that. The wine I got was also delicious! It was  rose that was a combination of pinot noir and chardonay..two of my favorites in one bottle. We also watched the Westminster which is always fun. On roof news..we have decided on a metal roof and I'm excited about that if one can really get excited about a roof!....later

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Woke up to flowers, candy and a sweet card from my honey..also a St. Patrick's Day shirt so I can celebrate that in style next month. My honey will have to wait for dinner for his gift.  On the menu is baked shrimp scampi and chive rosotto cakes. CremeBrulee is our dessert and I got a sparkling rose wine. ..Hope my family and friends have a good day! We loved watching the Westminster Dog Show last night..more tonight...later

Good Sunday

The morning started out at 66 degrees and got warmmer in spite of what was predicted. They said it would get cooler as the day progressed along with showers. Instead it warmed up to 77 ans was sunny. We went to a play in Knoxville at the Clarence Brown and ir was very good. Outside Mullingar is an Irish play with an excellent cast and written by a well known playwright. It was funny and also heart warming. It made for a fun Sunday. Today I need to finish up on the laundry, head to Kroger for ingredients for our Valentine meal and make the creme brulee for tomorrow's dessert. I need to call Maggie this afternoon to wish them a happy vacation. They leave tomorrow...later

Weird Bumper Sticker

This is one I'd never seen before..."proud to be a Trump Deplorable". I was on my way to the library when I saw that. I did go nuts at the library getting 6 books! I have 3 weeks to finish them which won't happen but I can always renew. I got Sue Grafton's X. I had read all of her previous alphabet books. I started this one as soon as I got home. I always read at the gym while on a machine and it's usually from my Kindle. I'm not excited about dealing with a cumberson book.Oh well. Bill Maher should be gteat tonight. He has a ton of fodder from this past week!! I really can't stand Kelly Ann Conway and was glad to see her get her hand slapped! Moving on...happy to hear Jimmy is getting pain relief for his hip. Itreally worked for Richard!!....later

Weather Change

Cold with flurries but nothing like what's going on in the northeast. I have errands so will head out when it gets light out. Walmart, post office and library are all on my list this morning. I can't remember the last time I was at the library and it used to be a regular on my list. Now for a bit of update on my Trump rant..it just gets eerier by the day! Hard to believe how clueless he is about being our president. I can't imagine what the rest of the world is thinking about him!!...later

Two Happy Birthdays!!

Jimmy is 49 today and Joel is 55 and I'm wishing them both a great coming year!! I guess the weather continues to be newsworthy. Yesterday we got to 71 with much of the same today. We had lots of rain and wind but mainly just warm. A tornado in New Orleans!! How much morecan they take??!! For us..nothing new..gym after lunch...later

Crazy Weather

Heavy fog this morning and warm this afternoon getting near 70. Yesterday was chilly but got to 50 in the late afternoon. Carolyn coming to clean today and I need to come up with something for dinner. I haven't a darn thing to write about so ....later

Amazing Game..Amazing Gaga!!

I said I was rooting for Falcons but in my heart it was Patriots. Richard kept telling me not to count out Brady. I thought he was delusional but he was right. Now for Gaga..what can you say except it was the BEST halftime show ever!! It was a chilly weekend but that gave me a good reason to have cozy evening fires. Noot much going on here this week..gym this afternoon...later

A Quickie

I have an eyeappointment at 8:30 so need to get ggoing soon. It's finally going to be a pretty chilly day today so I'll be having a fire tonight. Yesterday was good..got lots done andsaw an oldteaching friend when I got my haircut. I may be seeing more of her since we both go to the same shop. Saw daffodils in bloom on my drive home....too soon. Mine are up but not blooming yet...later

Finally...

Blog wouldn't let me sign in. I'll be leaving soon to get haircut and several errands. Valentine's day soon apporoaching. Cooler with a bit of rain this morning. Yesterday we had a temp of 68. That is crazy for February! I'll also be getting some goodies to eat on Sunday as we watch the game. I guess we'll both root for Atlanta mainly because they need a win. I have never rooted for any Atlanta teams..not sure why and we both do like Tom Brady and The Patriots but they've won enough. I know my kids are very anti Patriots but that's life. Time to get some things together...later

Happy TV Watching

Started watching Newsroom yesterday and another episode of The  Crown and Monday watched Victoria. They are all exceptional programs and make for happiness. Okay folks..it'snow FebRUary. Watch your pronounciation!! Makes me crazy when, seemingly most of   the   popiulation say FebUary. It was 65 here yesterday  with much of the same expected today. I'll take    it whileit ladts....later
