Hard to Believe!!

When you're talking about Trump he'll say anything. His latest tweet was about as low as I've seen him go!! Both George Bush and Barack Obama showed class by never responding to lies or meanness. Trump has zero class and his demeanor is very harmful to the office of the president of the United States and to our country!! Those who defend his tweets show that they also lack class!!I rest my case!....later

Very Nice Birthday

We went to Knoxville and had lunch and went to a movie. The movie was really good and I highly recommend it... "The Book of Henry". We were disappointed that our favorite waitress at Rafferty's wasn't there but everything else was good. The evening was also relaxing so it was a good birthday. ....later

Seventy Nine

Oh well! Glad to have made it this far and can only hope for more. Richard spent the night at the sleep center. It was required by our insurance before they would pay for the concentrator put onto his c-pap. He should be home shortly. We may go to Knoxville for lunch and a movie later. Last night I watched Sully..very good!Still nice and cool and love being able to have doors opened rather than a/c!!....later

Another Cool Day

No humidity and very cool morning. Richard has a follow-up appointment with his doctor after last week's hospitalization. I'll drop him off and then do some grocery shopping. Richard wants us to do something tomorrow for my birthday but I'm not sure I want to...we'll see. Time now for me to jump in the shower....later

Damn and double damn!!!

I was almost finished with a very long post when it all disappeared and I couldn't retrieve it😠😬! Bottom line..Anne and Steve got married in a beautiful ceremony and are happily at Put-in- Bay...Richard is doing well...later

Rain and Lots of it!!

The rain north of here caused me to delay going to Cindy until tomorrow. I'll leave early and hope for the best. We got rain on and off yesterday and today should be the same but heaviest coming tonight. We started watching The Ranch on Netflix.it has a good cast and is good...good cast.Coffee time....later

Home Sweet Home

Richard was released and home shortly after noon. After bringing him home I headed to town to pick up his new prescriptions. We had a nice evening and he got a good night's sleep and is still asleep. That is such a relief because his lack of sleep had been causing him a lot of anxiety. His breathing issues were being caused by fluid retention. His echocardiogram showed no heart issues 😊😊. Busy day for me getting ready to leave tomorrow for Cincinnati and Anne's wedding. ....later

Richard Update

He finally got his echo which should be read this morning and he'll be dismissed from the hospital!!I'll be heading north to Cincinnati on Friday for Anne and Steve's wedding but will be home on Sunday. We have a friend who will be available if Richard needs anything. Now we have to pray for no rain on Saturday in Cincy!!....later

Richard

Richards breathing has gotten progressively more labored and Sunday he showed Karen, who is a cardiac nurse in ICU at Ruby Hospital in Morgantown. She said if it became worse he should go to the Er. Yesterday morning it wasn't any better so he called his doctor and he told him to go to the ER. He needed an eco cardiogram. There they decided to admit him. He got lasix and oxygen and is getting the cardiogram this morning. I haven't talked to him yet this morning but will head over there later. Tom and Karen left a bit ago. I was happy to have them here! Time now for me to get myself together!!....later

Good Time with Tom and Karen

We are really enjoying their visit and will miss them when they leave tomorrow. On the Richard front..increased breathing issues, edema in his legs so may be in congestive heart failure. Karen agreed he has the symptoms . He'll be calling his doctor this morning. It seems to be one thing and another...Woke up to rain this morning....later

Today

Richard has another appointment at the trtinologist for his eyeball shot. I'll drop him off and get gas, pick up RX's, and flowers for the house. At home we'll relax and wait for Tom and Karen to arrive. Should be a bit cooler today!😊....later

Richard's Recent Issues

Two separate appointments with two doctors resulted in some answers and frustrations with Richard's breathing problems, lack of sleep and anxiety. Tests taken a month ago show a lack of adequate oxygen especially during sleep. The doctor got the results and then went on vacation thus waiting until yesterday to act on a solution!! In the meantime Richard wakes up after just a few hours of sleep and this lack of sleep results in anxiety. Lincare came yesterday and installed a device to add oxygen to his c-pap. We'll see if that brings results..it didn't work last night and he was up on the computer most of the night....I have kitchen duties and cleaning to do today in preparation for Tom and Karen's visit...later

Crazy Morning

Richard has back to back appointments with doctors this morning starting at 8. I'll drop him off then get gas and make a few more stops including the library where I'll hang out until time to pick Richard up...We had a storm go through last night just around bedtime and more of the same should be the pattern for the next few days.  June is turning out to be hectic and I'll be glad to see July....later

Cleaning Day

My cleaning lady can't come this week so it's up to me to get this done. I have my menus set for the weekend and did some of the shopping for it yesterday and Richard will do the rest on Thursday. The heat has returned and we finally had to crank up the a/cs yesterday. The heat brings in salad days for us. We had taco salad last night and tuna salad Saturday. Cobb and pasta salad are coming attractions.....later

Busy June

It started with a trip to Cincinnati for a party celebrating the graduation of my niece's daughter, Sarah.I got home from that and we drove to Richmond for grandson's graduation. We got home and my nephew, Tom and wife will be here this coming weekend. This week will be busy with Richard's doctor appointments. Then we go to Cindy again for Anne's wedding. I'm hoping the rest of the summer will be less hectic. Today I'll head out for a haircut. While in Richmond we had the opportunity to have lunch with old friends and it was great to see them!Time now to get myself together...later

We're back.

It was a quick trip to Richmond to see Eric graduate but it was very good! Eric graduated with distinction and earning a GPA of 4.5! Tim came down so we got to spend time with him as well ad Joel, Jennifer and Eric. On Wednesday we had lunch with Suzanne and Myron which was a bonus to our trip. It's always good to reconnect with old friends! We made great time coming home in 7 hours. Whiskers did well and the pet sitter worked out well. We'll be using her again in a few weeks when we go to Cincy for Anne's wedding. Today I'll be unpacking and getting things done around here. ....later

The Weekend

It was a busy and fun weekend. I stayed with Trip, Susan and JJ Friday and witnessed JJ's intensive baseball practice and later spent a nice evening of catching up. Saturday was the game which JJ's River Dogs lost but he got a super hit and he also was great on third base. After the game I headed to Anne's and then to Lisa's for Sarah's graduation party. When we got home it was a lively evening spent on Anne's deck. I got to hear all about Madison's internship at the zoo. I headed home Sunday morning. Today I have tons to do before leaving for Richmond tomorrow and Eric's graduation.... Later

What is it going to take to start impeachment proceedings??!!He's bit by bit destroying what took ages to build.He has become more than a laughing stock!!... 😠Okay..I'm packed and showered and just have to dress and get a few things together. Peace of Mind

I found a pet sitter and met her yesterday. She will be coming to the house to check, feed and care for whiskers when we go to Richmond. She is bonded and insured and I feel fortunate to have found her. Today I have lots to do including a car wash, gas for the car, trip to the library and more stops. I'll pack and such when I get home....later
