My New Norm

Lately I have been doing little to nothing. While I am feeling fine, I have no energy and problems eating. I called my doctor and she told me to come see her if I didn't improve in the next two days. I did manage to eat more yesterday and am hoping for the same today. My doctor's baby is due on the 29th and she is planning to work until then! ....Richard is heading to Wal-Mart today. ....I can't remember when we have had so much rain. However, next week is supposed to see that gone! Whiskers will be happy because her favorite places are in front of the doors in the sunshine and little to none lately!......later

A Rainy Week

Rainy and not too hot so we haven't been turning on the a/c. Today may be the day for the a/c. I've been lazy so far this week but hope to get back to the gym today. ...Roseanne was not a program we watched. I couldn't stand her ranting and am more than happy her show was cancelled!....Time for me to get some coffee and get the cobwebs out of my still sleepy brain!....later

Stormy Weather

It rained steadily all day yesterday and more is expected today. While it is humid the temperature is comfortable and we haven't needed our a/c. ....the Cavs will face the Warriors in the NBA finals! The Cavs played LeBron the whole game the other night and if they want to win U guess he'll have to do that again!!...Nothing major planned today!.......later

Home Sweet Home

We got home yesterday after a fun weekend in Cincinnati. We stayed with Muir and Jimmy and went to Mac's graduation on Thursday evening. It was a nice ceremony and very proud of Max. Friday we just hung out enjoying our time with family. Saturday was the celebration of Mac's and Madison's graduations. It was a fun time and great to be with everyone. Yesterday we got back home shortly after two and look forward to summer.....later

Graduation and More

Arrived in Cincy yesterday, went to dinner with Muir and Jimmy then they dropped us off at Saint Susanna's for the graduation. It was long as all graduations usually are but very nice! Congratulations to Max!! Just hanging out today, thankfully Tommie is a party at Hyde Park country club for the two proud grads.....later

Disturbing Dream

Had a bad dream last night that Buster, Egberts bull dog, suddenly died! I woke up at 3:30 to realize it wasn't true but it took a while to dismiss the dream and get back to sleep. Happily U did and finally reasons at 6:30! Busy day...get had and carwash stop to drop off a book at library and pick up a few things, come home and pack for the trip to Cincinnati tomorrow. Can t wait to see everyone!!

Nothing Going On!

We have a few things to do but nothing big. We'll drop the car off for a minor thing and go to lunch while it's there and I do have some ironing to do but that's all. The weather is in an iffy pattern with rain a good possibility.The dishwasher is calling me to get emptied. Girls coming over later to pick up the key and get instructions for watching Whiskers while we are in Cincinnati to see Max graduate and celebrate both graduates with a party on Saturday!.....later

Dreams

Dreams are so strange! I had an interesting dream and when I first opened my eyes I remembered it and was reconstructing it but later when drinking my coffee Icouldn't remember a thing about it! Then it started coming back to me....Saturday was all wedding and I watched the whole thing. Today is the usual Monday with laundry, etc. ...Today is Eva's seventh birthday!! We will call and sing to her before she leaves for school...   Later

Anticipation!!

I'm waiting for texts from Maggie or Muir that they have made it to the ferry and it is running. Weather with high wins was threatening and if the ferries can't run they will play a waiting game to see if they'll run today. If not they will have to get rooms in the mainland😣. In all of the years when I was going there I don't think We ever had a problem with ferries not running! My fingers are crossed for a crossing today!!!.....I will be dropping Richard off for his appointment with his technologist and I'll pick up a pizza for dinner...I'll be during the wedding tomorrow as it starts at 4:30 and I've been sleeping until after 6 all week. Many years ago Anne and I were in her college tours when Charles and Diana got married. We set out alarm to wake up and watch!!.....later.

Finally

We finally watched The Greatest Showman. We missed seeing it in the theater so watched last night On Demand. High Jackmen is amazing!! It was a good cast and we liked it a lot! ...No rain yesterday but more likely today..I feed to head to p.I later to mail Eva's birthday gift and also have two bags to drop off at karms.....later

Rain😁

We finally got long needed rain!! Yesterday afternoon it was threatening and I heard some distant thunder and then it started and sounded wonderful on our awning!It rained hard for quite a while and then settled down to a nice, king gentle rain. More is expected in the next few days. It made for a cool night of sleeping! I didn't open my eyes until 6:15 and surprisingly no meows from Whiskers. It's now 7:18 and she hasn't made her appearance yet!....No plans for today...just a bit of straightening up.......later

Nada!

I really have nothing but will ramble on a bit. For the second day in a row U slept until 6! I likely would have slept longer except for Whiskers who had other ideas for me. I think she just wants company. There is a solution for this...close out bedroom door but we won't do that. I have no real plans for the day but rain is a maybe and I hope we get some. It's been dry and way too hot for May! Coffee time!.....later

Finally feeling Better

So last Wednesday I woke up to a very sore right breast. I decided to call my doctor and she had one appointment and she decided it was mastitis and I've been on meds since then. She said I should see a definite better by Monday and if I didn't to call her and she would schedule a diagnostic mamogram. Thankfully, I saw a change yesterday and felt decent for the first day since Wednesday. I had felt tired with zero energy and no appetite. So happy I felt so much better but still have 4 days of antibiotics left to take. .....It was a beautiful, if not weekend with a rainy week predicted. I'll be happy to see rain as it was predicted last week but that didn't happen......later

Progress

The pantry is mostly done and it looks great! The top two shelves have miscellaneous dishes that I only use occasionally and some never. The ones never used will go to Karms. Richard came down to help but we don't work well together because our ideas of how to do things clash. He finally went to the garage to clear those shelves which worked much better...Last night Lester Holt was in Pittsburgh and many find memories were revisited. We lived about 60 miles from Pgh and went there every year to Christmas shop. I also took the bus with my grandfather to see a Pirates game in Forbes field and also saw some games with my dad. In the summer our church choir went to Civic Light Opera to see a variety of great shows!! Oh is totally different now as it has gone from steel city to tech city....Happy times.....latet

Headway Made

.I made a lot of headway in the pantry yesterday while Richard was at Walmart! The shelves were easy to organize but got rid of it ditched many items. Richard and I will hopefully finish today. ..Richard said Wal-Mart was a holy mess yesterday with total reorganization going on and no one knew where Amy hung was. I was surprised he got everything on my list!! Rainy day ahead of us but we need it!......later

Organization Day

I'll try to get some organization to the pantry and that is long overdue. Richard will go to Wal-Mart and that is almost a social event for him. Yesterday we went to Sam's but only had a few things to get so headed to Olive Garden after that and that means we have dinner taken care of tonight because we both came home with what we didn't finish. ...I was late getting my humming bird feeders out but they've been out for over a week and I still haven't seen them! Hoping to see them soon.....later

Nothing Exciting

Yesterday was the routine Monday here..laundry, etc and gym and tacos for dinner. Today we will go to Knoxville and Sam's, lunch at Olive Garden and a stop at Bob's for wine and vodka. The weather will be warm and sunny...Whiskers had been sleeping in our bedroom lately and part of the night in our bed. Around five she gets on my night table and softly meows to make sure I know she is there and ready for me to get up and I comply! It's funny how our pets run out lives!!.....later

Interesting Weekend

A normal Friday..gym and pizza stop for dinner. Our helper girls were in a recital on Saturday so we went to that. They both started taking cello lessons at The Joy of Music School in Knoxville. This school provides lessons and instruments to under privileged or low income kids.  We also got to meet our girl's parents and more of their siblings. The recital was in Knoxville and provided a barbecue dinner afterwards. Richard whispered to me near the end of the recital that this was the height of our social life!! Sad but true! Cooler weekend but heating up this week....later

Spring Chores

I finally got the rest of the flowers I needed and the two  hanging baskets are planted and in place. My humming bird feeders are out and I'm playing the waiting game to see my first humming birds! The rest of Thursday was relaxing. Today we'll head to the gym after lunch. Tomorrow we'll head to Knoxville to attend a music recital where the girls who help us around here will play in their cellos then head home to watch a he Derby!!....later

Nice Warm Morning

This warmth is most welcome! Later this morning I will head to Lowe's and try to get the last flowers U need for my front entrance and a stop at Ross to look f or tops...Whisker's new thing is sleeping on our bed at my feet. No way to predict if this will last. She keeps surprising us! Card are so interesting and mysterious!!......later

Ideal Weather

What a beautiful Tuesday with much of the same today. I got my haircut and other chores accomplushed. I also voted which I never do for these local races. I tried to vote but no Democratic candidates for any of the races but I did get credit for whatever that means. As soon as it gets daylight I'll be feeding my plants. Grass will get cut today and I've never seen it so high, thanks to all the rain we've had!!.....later

Busy Tuesday

After my shower I'll head out to get a haircut then Krogers and the library. When I get home I need to clean my kitchen and the girls will be here after lunch. They'll be weeding and blowing off the deck. Pollen is taking its toll this year. Yesterday it finally got into the low 70s. We hit the gym after lunch and when I went into the ladie's workout room I thought I had walked into a freezer. It was so cold I had to leave. I finished in the pool. I checked the temp of the workout room and it was 59!😬 I told Rob and he promised to take care of that. When I got up our kitty was on the bottom of our bed. She may still be there because I haven't seen her yet. I have tried to get her to come to our bed but she never does. I guess it has to be her decision. She is a cat, after all!!.....later
